A memorial service was Monday for 22-year Minden resident Gerard Bussiere, 82, who died March 12, 2008, in Gardnervlle. Born Oct. 16, 1925, in Cascade, N.H., to Albert and Antoinette Bussiere, he graduated from high school and was a veteran of WorId War II After the war, he married Edith Schimming in Gorham, N.H., on October 16, 1941Mr. Bussiere worked for American Airlines, starting out as a mechanic and being promoted to foreman. He lived in Orange, California, before moving to Carson Valley. He is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jeremy Bussiere. He is survived by his wife Edith of Minden; a daughter of Orange, Calif; and a son of San Pedro, Calif. ; two sisters, Joan & Roger Whitcher of Melbourne, Fla., and Doris & James Johnson of Cocoa, Fla.; three grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, nieces and nephews.
