- Lawrence F. Berestka (74) passed away on November 6th, 2018 after a battle with MDS. Grew up in Hadley, MA. More recently in Princeton, MA and retired in Surprise, AZ. Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years Dolores Berestka (Bussiere), daughter Laura Allard, son-in-law Paul Allard, son Larry C. Berestka, grandson Chris Allard and his wife Hannah Allard, granddaughter Jessica Allard and her significant other Joe Andrejco, and brothers Ron and Ken Berestka. He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Arela Berestka. He spent over 20 years at Clinton Savings Bank in Clinton, MA and retired as bank president and CEO. Larry was the past president of the Rotary Club, member of Mass Bankers Association, and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes. He served on SBLI Committees. Upon retirement he was a Major Gifts Director of Fundraising for the March of Dimes and he led a fundraiser for the Prince of Peace Parish in Princeton, MA. He was a dedicated outdoorsman, successful fly fisherman, and deer hunter holding the Massachusetts record for largest deer in 2005. Larry hunted in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Arizona. Traveled most of the Caribbean Islands and Mexico. He was educated at Hopkins Academy (class of '62), Greenfield Community College, Mass Bankers Association, Fairfield University, and Babson College.
