She was the wife of the late Antone Simas. Mrs. Simas was born in Dartmouth, daughter of the late Francois X. and Alpheda (Fortin) Bussiere and had resided in Westport since 1958. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a sewing machine operator for many area manufacturers and later went on to work as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She enjoyed making puzzles. Survivors include her son: James Simas and his wife Mary Ellen of Tiverton; her 2 daughters: Karen Pacheco and her husband Louis of Westport and Pamela Savicki and her husband Thomas of Berkley; a sister: Jeanne Crotau; 6 grandchildren; Stephen, Jocelyn, Kristen, Eric, Jessica and James; great granddaughter: Jordan and one on the way; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Armand Bussiere, Gerard Bussiere, Geraldine Bussiere, Ollie Valancourt, Jacqueline Crotau and Ella Botelho .
