- Dorothy Catherine (Sheedy) Bussiere, 91, Flintville, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008. She was born Dec. 24, 1916, in Anston, Wis., to Ambrose and Flora (Burdeau) Sheedy. Dorothy raised her six brothers when her mother died at an early age and as she liked to say, they never got the best of her. She enjoyed saying that she attended four years at the Anston School, four years at the Flintville School and graduated from West High School in 1935.
Dorothy was proud to be a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her Irish heritage was always evident and she loved all the numerous members of her Sheedy family. She made wonderful pies, rolls and her famous potato salad. Her activities included gardening, reading, traveling, playing cards and going out to eat.
A lifetime Packers fan, she attended games with her father at the old stadium in the 1940s and 1950s. Her last Packers game in the new stadium was when she was almost 88. She was a bleacher sitter, enjoying ball games played by her grandsons. She enjoyed talking sports with her grandsons and they were always amazed at how much Grandma knew about sports. She will be missed by her family and friends because she loved life and never wanted to miss any part of it.
She loved her church, Sts. Edward & Isidore, Flintville, where she was baptized, married and now buried. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the St. Theresa Card Club.
