Mrs. Leo J. Butler, 55, the former Gertrude Bussiere, of 301 North St., well-known in this area, died at Putnam Memorial Hospital Tuesday afternoon after a long illness.
A daughter of Henry and Eliza (Martineau) Bussiere, she was born in Pittsfield, Mass., Dec 1, 1912. Her education had been received in the Adams, Mass. and Pittsfield, schools.
She was married to Leo J. Butler in Bennington April 9, 1934 in St. Francis de Sales Church, the Rev. Paul Hackett officiating.
For 19 years she was a clerk at Carroll's Drug store here. Her service there had been efficient and her accomodating way had endeared her to many.
Survivors besides her husband are one daughter, Miss Joanne F. Butler of Boston, Mass.; one son, Thomas
