Stricken Driver Stops Full Bus, Collapses, Dies. Geo.E.Bussiere, 61 F&L Veteran Operator Is Victim Of Heart Attack. George E.Bussiere, 61, of 28 Old Leominster road, drove his loaded F&L bus to the side of the road when he felt a weak spell coming on as he approached Leominster hospital at 6:30 o'clock this morning. He collapsed at the wheel as the heavy vehicle came to a stop. Removed to Leominster hospital by Leominster police, Bussiere was pronounced dead upon arrival. Bussiere had left Depot square on schedule at 6:20 o'clock this morning with a bus loaded with war workers going from Fitchburg to Leominster. The bus had arrived at the main entrance to the hopspital when the operator brought the vehicle to a stop. Dr. C.R.Abbot of Clinton, associate medical examiner, said death was due to a heart attack. Mr.Bussiere entered the employ of the street railway company in May, 1909, first as a conductor and later as a motorman. With the inauguration of buses he became a driver for the company. He was born in Peterboro N.H., and came to this city with his family when he was a few months old and had always lived here. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.Mary (Chartier) Bussiere; three sons, George R. of this city and Leominster, Henry A. of this city and Bernard E. of West Haven, Conn., a daughter, Mrs.Kaarlo J.Sandstrom of this city; six grandchildren; his mother, Mrs.Joseph B.Bussiere of this city; a sister, Mrs. Otis Page of Malone, N.Y., and two brothers, Joseph and Arthur Bussiere, both of this city. The funeral will be from the Lavery Funeral home at a time to be announced. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tonight from 7 to 10 and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 o'clock.
