- Doris (Bussiere) Vitelli, 86, of New Britain, wife of the late Aldo Vitelli, passed away Thursday (July 11, 2013) at Touchpoints of Farmington. Born in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Arthur and Maria Bussiere, she lived in New Britain most of her life. Doris graduated from Putnam Catholic Academy and the Connecticut Institute of Hairdressing. She was employed at Pratt & Whitney Machine Tool and also Chandler Evans of Colt Industries in West Hartford. Doris was a member of AARP in Newington and New Britain. A member and communicant of St. Ann's Church, Doris enjoyed working at the St. Jerome's Tag Sale 98 degree house where she made some very good friends.
Doris is survived by a son, Keith Vitelli and his wife Susan of New Britain; a son-in-law, Paul Stone of Exeter, NH; a sister, Joan Porier of Fort Lauderdale, FL; 3 grandchildren, Amy Galvin and her husband Eric of Plantsville, Megan Carlson and her husband James of East Berlin, and Zachary Stone and his wife Mary of Exeter, NH; 4 great grandchildren, Abigail and Brady Galvin, and Madelyn and Bryce Carlson, all of whom she cherished dearly; one sister-in-law, Theresa Ingriselli and her husband Ralph of Southington; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held SATURDAY (July 20, 2013) 5 to 7 PM at the Carlson Funeral Home 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated TUESDAY (July 23, 2013) 9 AM at St. Ann's Church, North Street, New Britain. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
