- PLYMOUTH - Leonard Bussiere, 76, of Morse Road, Plymouth, formerly of Roblen Drive, Pawtucket, R.I., died Monday at home.
He was born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Alexander and Eva (Bonnafe) Bussiere.
He was the husband of Alice (Beauvais) Bussiere for 55 years. He was a mechanic for North East Clark Lift of Warwick, R.I., for 32 years, retiring in 1998 and moving from Pawtucket to New Hampshire in 1990. He also worked for the American Insulated Wire Co. for a while.
Mr. Bussiere was an Army veteran, serving in the 43rd Division.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Consolation Church and he enjoyed doing yard work, working with flowers and gardening, and also enjoyed woodworking.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter-in-law, Pamela (Charron) Bussiere of Pawtucket; two brothers, Roger Bussiere of Attleboro, R.I., Roland Bussiere of Gales Ferry, Conn.; one granddaughter, Tiffany Bussiere of Pawtucket; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was the father of the last Wilfred R. Bussiere and he was the brother of the late Wilfred Bussiere, Maurice Bussiere and Richard Bussiere.
A memorial Mass will be held Dec. 10, 2004, at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew Church in Plymouth. Burial will be at a later date.
