- AUBURN - Carol A. Bussiere, 66, of Lewiston died Friday, Aug. 3, at the Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 11, 1941, in Portland, the daughter of Gordon and Mary (Skil) Bemis. She was a 1959 graduate of Edward Little. She went on to work for W.T. Grant for 15 years as an assistant manager. She then went on to work at Tambrands for more than 22 years as a production worker, retiring in 1999. She married George Bussiere on Nov. 26, 1988. She enjoyed flower gardening, animals, cooking, and was an avid fly fisherman. She was known for her wonderful smiles and great cooking. She will be sadly missed by her friends, family and coworkers. She is survived by her loving husband, George; sister, Paula Davis, and husband, Norman, of Poland; nephews, Adam Davis, and wife, Jamie, of Poland, Kyle and Nathan Davis, also of Poland; brother-in-law, Raymond Bussiere, and wife, Pauline, of Canton; sisters-in-law, Claudette Bussiere of Lewiston and Linda Beaulieu, and husband, Marc, of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Carol's family wishes to thank Dr. Nicholette Erickson and staff, CMMC M-1 unit and staff, and the Hospice House for their excellent care.
