    • MANCHESTER - Roger E. Gagnon, 87, of Manchester, passed away suddenly on June 13, 2018 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on June 29, 1930 to Lionel and Rose (Courchesne) Gagnon. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

      Roger retired in 1994 as the Business Agent of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 131, where he worked for 50 years. He served on the NH State Workers' Compensation Board, the NH Job Training Council, and the NH Labor Board. He was a member of Intervale Country Club, American Legion Jutras Post, and the Rimmon Club, and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Air Force.

      Roger was a loving, charming, and giving person who was supportive of his friends and family no matter the circumstances. He enjoyed playing golf, card games and working in his garden. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and was always prepared and excited to help them with day to day projects. He will forever be loved and cherished by his family and friends.

      The family includes his wife of 66 years, Claire G. (Bussiere) Gagnon of Manchester; five children, Debra Hallett and husband, Mark, of Bedford, Caryl Audley and husband, Samuel, of Gilford, Gary Gagnon and wife, Martha, of Hooksett, Alan Gagnon and wife, Alice Lamere, of Falmouth, MA and Cathy Andrikowich and husband, Thomas, of Whitinsville, MA; nine grandchildren, Philip, Matthew, Ryan, Andrea, Kelly Rose, Samantha, Nathan, Haley and Natalie; two great grandchildren, Ava Rose and Parker; an aunt and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Gagnon of Wallingford, CT.

      SERVICES: Calling hours are Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. followed immediately at 2 p.m. by a memorial ceremony, all at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
