- LEWISTON - Alice Eva Walker, 50, of 38 Glenview Drive, Sabattus, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 2, with her daughter Pauline at her side.
She was born in Lewiston on July 5, 1957, the daughter of Arthur and Simonne (Gagne) Bussiere. She has been a resident of this community all of her life.
She was employed by Cooper Industries for 22 years.
She married her best friend and soul mate Roger Walker on Aug. 12, 1979.
She was a member of the Pastime Club, 20M Club, ACME Club, La National Club and the American Legion.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her husband, kids and grandkids by her fireplace.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Walker of Sabattus; her four daughters, Angela Walker, and her husband, Dewey, of Florida, Tina Hopping, and her husband, Ryan, of North Carolina, Lisa Haywood, and her husband, Ken, of Washington state, and Pauline Walker, and her fiancé, John, of Sabattus; four sisters, Pauline Celetti, and her husband, Al, of Massachusetts, Diane Lee, and her husband, Stephen, of Delaware, Christine Gervais, and her husband, Mike, of Sabattus and Michelle Bruneau, and her husband, Ricky, of Massachusetts; three brothers, Donald Bussiere, and his wife, Tina, of Sabattus, Roger Bussiere, and his wife, Donna, of Auburn and Sam Bussiere, and his companion, Barbara, of Lewiston; two brothers-in-law, Larry Walker of New Gloucester and Leroy Walker, and his wife, Bev, of Auburn; 15 grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; one niece, Tracy Walker; and one nephew, Ryan Bussiere.
