- RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. Henry L. "Larry" Bussiere, 70, of Palm Desert, Calif., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Larry was born in Lewiston on May 8, 1943, the son of Henry O. Bussiere and Anita (Lebel) Bussiere. After graduating for Edward Little High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force and settled in California. He was a loving and caring husband, with a passion for fishing and shooting. He worked for 40 years in restaurant management at Kentucky Fried Chicken and Sizzler's. Larry was a member of the Rotary Club, NRA, SASS and 1000 Trails RV Club. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Claudette M. Picard, of Auburn; two brothers, Roland Bussiere and spouse, Terri Bussiere, of New Gloucester and John Bussiere and spouse, Sharon Bussiere, of Graham, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; grandparents; and his brother, Denis Bussiere. Henry L. Bussiere, 70, of Palm Desert, Calif., passed away October 16, 2013 in Eisenhower Medical Ctr., Rancho Mirage, Calif. He was born May 8, 1943 to Anita R. and Henry O. Bussiere in Lewiston, Maine. He married Claudette M. Picard July 18, 1964 in Victorville, Calif. He was in restaurant management for Kentucky Fried Chicken and Sizzler for forty years. He was a member of NRA, SASS, Rotary Club and 1000 Trails. He served in the Air Force from 1963-1967 as a crew chief. He is survived by brothers Roland Bussiere of New Gloucester, Maine and John Bussiere of Graham, N.C. Graveside services and burial will be held at a later date in St. Peter's Cemetery, Lewiston, Maine.
