- Lorraine Rita Caramagno, 80, of Whiting died on Monday, October 6, at Community Memorial Hospital in Toms River.
Born in Fall River, Mass., she resided in Westfield from 1943 until 1991, when she moved to Whiting. From 1960 to 1975, Mrs. Caramagno assisted her husband, Salvatore F. Caramagno, in his capacity as sexton of the Mountainside Gospel Chapel in Mountainside. She and her husband also served as caretakers of the Westfield Tennis Club between 1964 and 1978. Mr. Caramagno died in 1982.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Fildes; two sons, Roland Caramagno and Daniel Caramagno; two sisters, Dolores Kovalinsky and Theresa Bussiere; three brothers, Roland Bussiere, Leo Bussiere and Walter Bussiere; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 10, at The Presbyterian Church in Westfield. Arrangements were under the direction of the Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Avenue in Westfield.
