Mrs. Simas was born in Dartmouth, daughter of the late Francois X. and Alpheda (Fortin) Bussiere and had resided in Westport since 1958. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a sewing machine operator for many area manufacturers and later went on to work as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She enjoyed making puzzles. Survivors include her son: James Simas and his wife Mary Ellen of Tiverton; her 2 daughters: Karen Pacheco and her husband Louis of Westport and Pamela Savicki and her husband Thomas of Berkley; a sister: Jeanne Crotau; 6 grandchildren; Stephen, Jocelyn, Kristen, Eric, Jessica and James; great granddaughter: Jordan and one on the way; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Armand Bussiere, Gerard Bussiere, Geraldine Bussiere, Ollie Valancourt, Jacqueline Crotau and Ella Botelho .
