She was born in Spencer, in 1928 to the late H. Walter Remillard and Beatrice C. (David). She graduated from David Prouty High School where she was a member of the band and the girls basketball team. Claire raised her children at home. When they were older, she worked a few part time jobs. Years ago, she enjoyed cruising and traveling with Chris and Carole. She often talked about her trip to Hawaii and how beautiful it was. She and Henry shocked us all when they showed up with the mopeds they bought. They enjoyed them and put a lot of miles on them riding to local towns. During the last 10 years, she enjoyed Sunday evenings - dinner and playing cards with Steve and Dottie. She was an avid Celtics and Red Sox fan. Steve would give her a call to remind her when the games were on. She also enjoyed watching all the old Western shows like Gunsmoke. She loved her cat, Audrey, and they spent many years together. Audrey will be going to a good home and will be loved as Claire would have wanted. Claire was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in West Brookfield.
A Funeral Mass for Claire will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 10AM in Sacred Heart Church, 22 West Main Street in West Brookfield. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Following mass, burial will be in the Brookfield Cemetery, 43 West Main Street in Brookfield.
