Bob was born December 3, 1962 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, the son of Robert Sr. and Eleanor Bussiere. He graduated from Monrovia High School in Monrovia, IN in 1981. He entered the US Air Force April 23, 1982 where he served as a Special Operations Paratrooper, earning a Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal and Air Force Achievement Medal along with numerous other admirable medals and awards. He Honorably retired on January 1, 2008 at the rank of Sr. Master Sergeant. He and Candy (Mortenson) Bussiere were married on May 1, 2008 in Jamestown, where they made their home. He continued to work at Goodrich Aerospace until going to work at Jamestown Correction Center as a Correctional Officer until he fully retired in 2015. Bobs favorite pastime was bringing laughter to everyone with his sense of humor and spending time with his family, especially his 11 grandchildren. Bob was an avid camper, he enjoyed traveling, barbecuing, playing darts, making model cars, collecting sports cards, and watching football, especially Peyton Manning. He is survived by his wife, Candy, Jamestown, ND; 2 children, Ryan (Erica) Bussiere and Chad (Katie) Bussiere, both of Spearfish, SD; 3 stepchildren, Carl (Kendal) Abernathey Jr., Stanwood, WA; Chad Abernathey, Arlington, WA; and Andrea (Jeremy) Stokes, Arlington, WA; 4 grandchildren, Ahria, Lucius, Stella, and Claire; 7 step-grandchildren, Hailey, Landon, Rory, Aubrey, Liam, Kohen, and Cayson ; 2 sisters, Julie (George) Sport, Salem, AL, Kathy (Mel) Hacker, Mooresville, IN.; and 2 nephews, Shane and Jason.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
