- LEWISTON - Lorraine J. Heldman, 68, of Litchfield, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 21, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born in Leeds, on Jan. 13, 1939, the daughter of Germain and Noella (Girardin), and had been a resident of this community for most of her life.
She was married to Emile Bussiere, on May 4, 1957, and he died on June 2, 1977. She then married Lloyd Heldman, on Aug. 6, 1983.
She was a member of the Litchfield Senior Citizens, and was a volunteer for the Litchfield Food Bank.
She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, and most of all loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Heldman, of Litchfield; one son, Gary F. Bussiere and his wife, Catherine, of Concord, Calif.; two daughters, Debra Trial and her husband, Richard, of Bedford, N.H., and Suzanne Bussiere and her husband, Roger Bilodeau, of Auburn; one grandson, Emile F. Bussiere, of Concord, N.H.; two sisters, Anne Dumais and her husband Rudy, of Lewiston, and Doris Fabyan and her husband, Jim, of Florida; a sister-in-law, Alice Faucher-Soycha and her husband, Frank, of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Diane Bussiere; one brother, Gerald Faucher; and one sister, Dorothy Drapeau.
